Tilt, the world's fastest marketplace

What is Tilt?

Live Shopping

Tilt is a live shopping app on a mission to make commerce alive again.

There are two ways to buy and sell. Sellers can go live on camera and run auctions in real time, talking buyers through products as they chat, bid and win. Or, with Clips, anyone can film an item in seconds, AI turns it into a shoppable video, and it lands in a feed users can browse any time. Live for the event, Clips for the everyday, both built on the same idea: real people, showing real things, on video.

Tilt launched in 2023 and now has more than 2 million registered users across the UK, Spain and Italy.

Why shopping went live

Shopping used to be somewhere you went: markets, car boots, the January sales, a Saturday spent rummaging with no idea what you'd come home with. Half the point was the hunt. The other half was the people, from the store manager who knew everything about watches to the collector who could spot a fake from across the room.

Then shopping moved online and got very good at being efficient: search, filter, photos. Fast, useful and about as much fun as renewing your car insurance.

Live shopping brings the good stuff back: discovery, entertainment and human connection.

How it works

A seller holds up an item and starts the bidding, often from as little as £1. Each auction runs for around 10 seconds. When someone becomes the highest bidder, the clock resets, so two people fighting over a jacket can keep an auction going for minutes.

Sellers can set a secret minimum price, known as a reserve. But most Tilt auctions don't have one.

So if a coat gets one bid at £1, it sells for £1. It’s all part of the fun.

Not up for going live? That's what Clips is for. Film a quick video of an item, AI writes the listing and, and it sits in a scrollable feed others can find whenever they like. Same video-first concept, just on your own schedule.

Why people come back

Tilt isn't Tilt without its community. Whether you're into sneakers, streetwear, watches, trading cards, jewellery or homeware, you follow the people behind the stream.

Sellers get to know the people who show up every week. Buyers start recognising the same names in the chat, competing with the same bidders and having running jokes with sellers. The best streams develop their own characters, rivalries and rituals. You come back as much for the people as for what's on the table.

What it costs

  • Buyers: you pay what you bid, plus shipping and a buyer protection fee. That's what covers you if an order doesn't arrive or isn't what was described.
  • Sellers: 2% + 50p per sale. You keep 98% of what you make. For comparison, most marketplaces take somewhere between 8% and 13%.

Payments are handled in-app, nothing goes through DMs or bank transfers, and every order is tied to an account with a real payment method behind it. If something goes wrong with an order, support sorts it.

How to get started

If you want to find some deals, download Tilt, follow a few sellers in the categories you care about, and turn notifications on. You'll get a nudge when they go live. Watch 1 stream before you bid, it makes a lot more sense once you've seen it. In between streams, scroll the Clips feed to see what people are selling right now.

If you want to sell, apply to become a seller at www.tilt.app. Or, you can start with Clips instead, no livestream required.

Tilt gives anyone with something to sell the tools to turn it into a business, and buyers a reason to keep coming back.
